  2. Wow @ the irony of the person above me.

Anyway, are you using a home business or a community lot? I'm going to presume you're using a community lot, but the same thing applies for a home business, too. First of all, if you don't want customers going into certain rooms, click the door(s) to those rooms and click Lock...Household & Employees only, or something to that effect. Are you using the podium? If you don't have that, your customers can't be seated, and they'll just wander around the lot aimlessly. You can get the podium by going into buy mode, and looking around the Misc. section I think it's at, just check around there. It has a phone on it. Once you get that on your lot, click it and choose who you want as waiters/servers and a host/hostess. You also have to make sure you have the correct stove. Go into buy mode again, go into Kitchen and look in the stove section. The one you should be using takes up 2 tiles and is all silver. When you go into live mode again, click that stove, and select who you want to be chef.  Also, if you're on a home lot, I think you can use For Sale mode to get those items and then unmark them for sale.

Now after all that is done, when you're finished with buying and selecting employees, customers will gather around the podium and get that little meter over their heads. NOW you have to have someone persuade those customers to eat in your restaurant. Once the meter fills the hostess will sit them down and the servers will take their orders and such. Servers can also receive tips if they were polite and the customer(s) were feeling kind.

Sorry if I went on for a bit. Just trying to make sure you understand ^^; Good luck!
