  1. First, gain a little speed. Then, slowly push forward on your good foot- the foot that is the same side as the side you write with. When you push forward, put some pressure on the middle of your blade. You should come to a stop. Keep practicing, and make sure you practice with more speed. I am also assuming that you are trying to do a snowplow stop. You could also do a t-stop or a hockey stop.

A t-stop is when you put one foot behind the other and put enough pressure on it that you stop. To do this, stoke forward with a little speed. Then put your right-or left- foot behind your left-or right- and put pressure on it. You probably won't stop right away, but you should slow down. Again keep practicing.

A hockey stop is a little more complicated. Start stroking, and then quickly turn both feet to the same side, putting pressure on both feet. You should stop. You might fall doing this, so just stick to the other stops, unless you are really confident in youself.

  2. run into the wall. lmfao

  3. YOU MUST TURN SIDE WAYS AND PUT ALL YOUR PRESSURE OF YOUR BODY ON YOUR SIDE GOODLUCK YOUTUBE IT YOULL SEE WHAT IM TALKIN BOUT

  4. you first learn how to stop using one skate (your better foot) then you learn the double stop. for the one skate just stand still and push your foot outwards (making the ice peel etc.) you have to keep practicing, if you can find a video its alot easier than reading text.

  5. What you are describing is a snowplow stop and it is done by making snow with your blades.  You are doing a swizzle because you are continuing to glide forward with your toes out instead of in.  Stand next to the boards and practice making snow with each foot separately by sliding your blade to the side.  You must bend your knees and use your inside edge (tip your skate in) and then make snow. Once you have the feeling of making snow, try it while moving.

The most important things are bending your knees so your weight is on the ball of your foot, turning your toes inward so that you make an inverted v shape while pressing out with your heel (using your inside edge) and making snow.  After you come to a stop, bend your knees a little more or you will begin to glide backwards.

    Hope you get it!
