How come I get ticks on me from my yard, yet other people don't get ticks from their yard?

How can I stop them in my yard?

  1. There are pesticides you can apply to your lawn to avoid ticks.

    One is a product called Top Choice. It's active ingredient is Fipronil, and can help control Ticks, Fleas and Ants, and it can last up to one year.

    You can get this at professional Landscape Supply companies like John Deere Landscapes.

    Also you can apply diatomeatous earth, this will also help deter ticks.


  2. Ticks have been really bad this year. Get a yard spray for the ticks. Any Wal-Mart will have some. Add a little more garlic to your diet that will help also.


  3. Get yourself a roll on insect repellent.Come in solid stick form,contain essential oils which deter all types of bugs.

  4. I use spectracide brand triazicide on my yard..it attaches to a garden hose and self dispenses the product..

  5. Go to the supermarket and get moth flakes and sprinkly them all over your yard.  It will smell, well, like math balls (like a closet) but trust me, it works and it's cheap, cheap, cheap!  Good luck...
