  1. Take a train.  Just kidding...I couldn't pass the one up.  Of course, chewing gum might work but the airplines will probably charge you extra for it.

  2. chew gum.

  3. Actually, you WANT them to pop.  That means that the pressure on both sides of the eardrum has equalized.  When there is too much pressure on one side only, the eardrum stretches and causes pain.

Chewing gum will help.  Yawning will, too.  Another technique is to close your mouth, pinch your nose, and blow gently.  Do this as soon as you feel any discomfort.  If you wait too long, it only gets harder to equalize.  And if you blow too hard, you can actually cause yourself some problems.

  4. Chew bubble gum or some gummi candy. Also try swallowing motions or yawning

  5. Chew gum. I went to Walgreens once and they had some weird medicine thing that helps that. Go to a pharmacy and ask someone if they have anything to treat that. If not, just chew some gum.

  6. Constantly talk . It moves her jaw and it "pops" it. It works for me. Also play the yawning game. See how many consecutive times you can yawn

Both of these really work for me.!

    Enjoy and have fun!

  7. Chew gum, it is just like going up a steep hill in the mountains.  If you chew some gum it will help keep your ears from popping, or hold your nose and blow, it will open your ears and there won't be any pain.

  8. Another option is a product called EarPlanes.  They are plugs that go in the ear and let the pressure equalize more slowly.  I have a problem with the decompress rate on Airbus jets and they help a LOT.

  9. GUM
