  1. You can scoop the litter very often, or empty it and wash it out, and also add some baking soda to the litter, which absorbs the odor.

  2. FRESH STEP. and clean it every once in a while

  3. Clean it a lot :D Like, everyday.

    Don't leave poo in it for long.

  4. I use, A little tray thing, which you put underneath the paper.

    You can also, get Johnsons powder to. Theres many things you can get nower-days. Have a look in your supermarket!:)

  5. I used to have the problem of the litter box smelling so bad.

    It really comes down to the quality of litter.

    ~~~~~~~~The best cat litter I have tried is:~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Tidy Cats Scoop Small Spaces
    Make sure it says,-scoop and small spaces.
    My house no longer smells like cat poo. It clumps the pee and it clumps the poo very well.
    This is it's discription for what it is for:
    If your litter box is in a bathroom, utility room, or small apartment, it can cramp your style. But Tidy Cats Scoop Small Spaces is designed to control odor in tight places, so you can breathe easier.
    With Tidy Lock Technology, Tidy Cats Scoop Small Spaces  forms crumble-free clumps for powerful odor control and easy, clean litter box maintenance.
    You can buy this in your local petco, petsmart, target.
    Here is a picture of it, it's orange and yellow.
    Oh and you should use a something to dispose of cat litter rather than throwing the cat clumps in your kitchen disposal.
    You can try,
    Petmate Litter Locker Plus
    There are some reviews on it on the very bottom.
    Hope this helps.
  6. If you're using clumping litter and you're removing the lumps every 1-2 days and it still smells really bad, it's time to change the litter. Throw out all the litter, clean the pan really well or buy a new one, and then put new litter in. You can try adding some baking soda to the litter to absorb odours.
  7. The cleaner the box, the better it will smell.  A smelly litter box is telling you something, that it needs to be cleaned.
    If you have more than one cat, have more than one litter box.  A box per cat with one to spare is a good rule of thumb.
    Scoop the box/boxes at least once a day.  More if possible.
    Completely empty and clean the boxes at least once a week, preferably twice or more (I clean my boxes every other day)  Litter boxes are usually made of plastic, and urine and fecal matter can get into the plastic and just make it stink.  Complete washing of the box will help to make sure the odors don't settle into the plastic.
    If you use scoopable litter, you can empty the litter into a bucket, clean out the boxes, then put the litter back.  My friend uses an old strainer when she does this, to make sure all the soil is truly out of the litter.  If you use a clay litter, I recommend you simply dump out the litter and replace it.  I use the cheapest clay litter  I can find and because I clean out my boxes so often, and scoop at least twice a day, rarely does anyone smell my litter boxes.
    When you clean out the box, use warm water and a cleaner.  I use toilet bowl cleaner.  Just make sure to rinse really well when you're done.  Dry the box completely before refilling.
    I've had all my litter boxes for at least three years, and except for some scratches at the very bottom, they look brand new.   If your box has gotten old, you might want to replace it and start fresh.
    Baking soda sprinkled at the bottom of the box can help with odor, but it's just a mask and when it finally doesn't work, the stink will be twice as bad.
    I used to hate cleaning my litter boxes because of the smell.  Then, I started using my nose as a guide.  I scooped the boxes at least twice a day, and if I smelled them in between, I checked and scooped.  Now that I scoop out the waste and clean the boxes a lot more, I don't mind it as much.  If you keep on top of it, the smell never gets a chance to get really bad.
  8. My two rescue females use Arm&Hammer for Multiple Cats litter.  Thoroughly clean the litter box with a disinfectant every two months or so.  Be sure to use the recommended amount of litter.  Litter is one thing you really don't want to skimp on.  For two cats clean out the turds and clumps at least every two days.  More cats = more often.  If, like me, you have to keep the used litter inside until trash day, you can put the used litter in an open plastic bag inside a small trash can and cover the used litter with a moderate sprinkling of baking soda.  This will absorb the smell.  It really works.  You should completly change the litter once a week.
    All the Best
  9. Well my mom uses coal! She puts 1 piece of coal into panty hose and well believe it or not it makes it smell fresher....but you may want to put more than 1..:) Don't use spray whatever you do!!!!! IT just mixes in with the p**p smell and it gets worse. You can also try buying little air fresheners for..cars....they work to!!!! Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   ☺☻♥
  10. Find a good quality cat litter. Scoop any p**p or pee out of it daily, and wash thoroughly weekly.
  11. Well i had this big scoop thing which you can get in supermarkets, and you scoop out  poo about every 2 days. Then throw all the stones away and rinse out the tray and put fresh stones in.
