  1. Put it in a glass bottle in the fridge, as long as you will be using it in the next 48 hours.  Otherwise, freeze it.

  2. freeze it or refrigerate it. depending on the type of pump you have, (i have a madela pump in style, i havent used it yet) however, it was a gift and the gifter also bought me milk storage bags and milk storage tubes to go with it. you can write the date you pump on it...and also, theres a little freezer tray that fits most of the baggies, and you can organize your milk that way. its pretty nifty and it fits right in a corner of your freezer or refrigerator. good luck.

  3. When I was building up a freezer stash- I'd pump, refrigerate for a few hours, then put in bags to freeze.

Now I just pump and put it in the fridge because I know it'll be used in a few days.

  4. I prefer the storage bags for the freezer and bottle for the fridge.  All you have to do is let it thaw in the fridge or run it under warm water.

Edit...Madam, you need to look in to proper storage.  Fresh milk in the fridge can be stored for up to 8 days, defrosted milk is 24 hours and freezer bags last longer than 4 weeks.  here is a link for you.

  5. I freeze it.  I have the avent pump and you can get the avent storage cups which s***w right onto the pump and then all you do is s***w the lid on and put it in the freezer.  The milk in those containers can last up to three months in the freezer.  I also have storage bags, the ones i use dont last as long only 4 weeks but are handy if you are trying to stock up your supply.  To defrost the milk i either take it out and put it in the fridge until its needed or alternatively if i need it quicker i either take a bowl of warm water and place the bottle / storage cup in their and it normally is defrosted within 5 - 10 minutes or i warm some water up in a suacepan on the stove and do the same method that way.

If i am expressing milk to be used that day i just put it in the fridge and it can be used within 24 hours.

Dont refreeze any defrosted milk though you need to throw it out.  Plus you shouldnt try and give the baby any milk they didnt take in a bottle in a previous feed.

    To thaw milk

        * Thaw slowly in the refrigerator (this takes about 12 hours – try putting it in the fridge the night before you need it). Avoid letting milk sit out at room temperature to thaw.

        * For quicker thawing, hold container under running water - start cool and gradually increase temperature.

Previously frozen milk may be kept in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours after it has finished thawing. Do not refreeze.
