How do you style sidebangs with a flat iron? (10 pts)?

Do you have to twist the iron in a certain way? to style it like this-

  1. I'd say when when pulling the flat iron down don't curl it out or in cause that will create a different effect.

    So, when pulling downwards go left or right sideways. Also hair spray/mousse/gel prior could help.


  2. If you want the bangs to be separated, part bangs and flat iron them.

    Otherwise, you just straighten them the way you would the rest of your hair. Hope this helps!!

  3. I have a hard time using a flat iron on mine.

    I recommend using a round brush.  You blow dry first in the opposite direction that you want them to lay (it sounds silly, but my hairstylist says it makes them smoother and they wont be kinky at the part).  Then you dry them in the direction that you want them to be, using the round brush slightly flip them out.

  4. comb forward as always the bangs, then pick half of it up & pin it and flat iron the bottom half, iron it going towards the side you want them to fall on, then do the other half the same way, that should do it. hope i helped.
