  1. I am pretty sure you get free Yahoo! credits with your purchase of Small Biz. You go to the control panel and submit it I think.

  2. Submission to Google

    Submission to Yahoo

    Submission to MSN

  3. Register (free) with Google and Yahoo and submit your URL along with a sitemap.

Also, manually submit your search engine about once per month for three months to major search engines and directories.

This company does that for free.

  4. Search engine listening is the easiest way to ensure that people are aware your site exists. Google, MSN, and other search engines will automatically search, add, and rank your site based on their ranking criteria.

If your site is not appearing on search engine results, you will need to manually submit your site to search engines. You can submit to all of the major search engines for free. I have listed URLs of the "Submit Your Site" page for some popular search engines:

    * Learn how to submit your site to Google:

    * Learn how to submit your site to MSN Search

It can take up to 12 weeks for your site to be indexed in search engines that further depends on the mechanism adopted by them. 5. After you submit your website to Yahoo, Google and MSN, other search engines will populate from them. Then, look for "search engine optimization (SEO)" on the internet. Website owners pay big money for search engine positions.

I didn't want to pay, instead, I learned the techniques SEO used. I spent my first year modifying my website keywords, contents, plus, running like a business to do public relations, link backs, word of mouth, blogs, forums... Now, some of my works are listed on first or second result page. It all depends what you say on your website.

Another trick, tell your friends to use alexa.com and search your website by domain name. You can add an entry on your website to increase visibility.
