Don't send your item until you are paid.  PayPal is probably the best payment source for new sellers.  They charge you a fee (a small percentage of the amount paid), but it makes it easy.

Once you've been paid, you just package the item and send it to the address of the person who paid you.  PayPal payments are usually accompanied by confirmed addresses, meaning you will be protected by PayPal if the buyer says he never got the item.
