How do you sucsessfully win a ebay auction at a lower price?

I have had 100% success by waiting until the last minute of the auction and then putting in the highest price I am willing to pay.   If you do this,they will then keep automatically raising your bid until your limit has been reached.  I have yet to pay the top price I am willing to pay.  Be sure to log in to the bid page about 5 - 10 minutes before the bid closes so you will know what the current bid is.

Best to wait til the last minute to bid then bid the maximum you want to pay...otherwise people bid over a number of days which usually ends up with price being pushed up.  Also, try searching for misspellings of the item you want...sounds a bit crazy but listers are not always the best spellers, and sometimes these items end up being missed by everyone else.  Another tip is to watch items that end at unpopular times (during the day when a lot of people are at work or very early morning....so long as you are prepared to wait up!!)    Happy bidding!!
