How do you surf?

It sounds so fun I have a board and all but I don't know how I promise i will vote you as my best awnser if you tell me!

go to your local surf spot and check it out watch other surfers surf, watch them closely popping up, then take your board on the inside and catch the white wash.....and dont listen to that stupid girl....you can still live on a mountain and surf. lol

its really simple when you are dedicated.  All you need to do is get a thick board not too long maybe 6'4 and about 3 inches thick thats 22 inches wide.  Or if your a bad balancer than get a longboard.  Now when you get either of your boards tart out in the white water.  The white water is the break of the wave.  Now when you begin to get near the white water paddle as hard as you can. Than when the whitewater is right behind you (about 2 feet) put your hands on the rails and push yourself up slowly, release your hands from the rails and your surfing.
