How do you/surfer identify a perfect wave?

yeah..been searching the net but i cant find the answer..one of my hmk questions

  1. There are a lot of different styles and shapes of waves, many of which could be considered perfect.

    Some might be a really heavy barrell that breaks fast over shallow reef(ie hollow, cylindrical and with a thick lip of water overhead), some might me a really gentle, waist-high wave that peels gently for 300meters and never gets hollow.

    The things that make a wave prefect would be

    1. a very smooth, glassy face (ie no wind or choppiness)

    2. a very consistent shape throughout the duration of the wave breaking

    3. a perfect "wall" infront of the broken part of the wave, on which to ride and generate speed and perform turns

    4. the wave must break consistently for a long distance, allowing a long ride

    5. Just a beautiful wave to ride and also to look at
