Like start off with 100$ and see how you go on from there,on your own, with nothing but the clothes on your back and 100$ in your pocket, for a month?

  1. Go to the 99 cents store, and  buys some cheap food, something like an energy drink. Maybe then you might actually live.

  2. Actually, I thought of starting out with just $20.  Sure would make good material for a book later on so buying a journal or notebook would be high on my list.  Better take a pack so you'll have a place for storing a few things you acquire.  Put some light food in it.  Then head for a shelter where you may be able to get a blanket.  I'd want a map if I didn't know the area but maybe that is too civilized.

Hope you do it and write along the way.  Interesting proposition....

  3. Go to the Department of Human Services and see if you qualify for Temporary aid. They may provide a one time cash payment, food stamps, and/or housing. Go to a shelter and find a job within walking distance. Try to get an apartment with $0 move-in, get a job within walking distance. Consult missions, charities like People Helping People, and churches for help with food, toiletries, and housing. Find a friend or relative that can give temporary assistance. Live off of Ramen Noodles, pb&js, tuna, and canned veggies. Walk where ever you need to go. Buy toiletries from dollar stores. Drink only water. Don't buy anything unnecessary like cigarettes or candy. Apply at temporary services for a quick job until you find something permanent. Try to pick up a cash paid odd-job  here and there like helping someone move or mowing someone's lawn.
