Question:

How do you take a contact out with nails?

So, I just tried taking my contacts out, and I usually just pinch it, but it's obviously not working since I just got my nails done. I kind of forgot at first and attempted to take them out and scratched my eye. [Yes, it's red.]

I've already looked it up, and the whole 'squeeze it out with your eye lid' and 'move it with the bottom of your finger until it falls out' techniques aren't working for me.

Me trying to get it out for the past half hour has made my eye red and irritated. If anyone has an easier way, please tell me! D:

  1. This is what works for me:

Pull down your bottom lid and hold it.

Use your ring finger (not the nail the actual meat of the finger it self) and pull the contact down towards your lid.  This should help break the suction.

While pulling the contact down with your ring finger, use your other ring finger to slide the lens towards your 1st ring finger and pinch the lens.

So you are using your 2 ring fingers to pinch the lens.  You should be able to take it out that way.

  2. i know its possible- i went to the eye doctor and a lady with huge nails took mine out it hurt haha ask someone else to do it for you

  3. just try with the insides of your fingers, my mom is even able to take them out with one finger somehow

  4. have you tried lubricating it first?  but then again, your eyes must be very teary from irritation.  see if putting in drops first helps.

  5. you just use the finger part poke your eye look the other wayand hust take it out

  6. rub your eye really hard and then blink.

that happens to me a lot.

it should roll up and fall out.

    if not, thenn idk
