How do you take a pic thats not JPEG and make it into JPEG?

I need to make a photo into JPEG so that i can put it as my background on my yahoo 360 page. (BTW you can look me up under Micagirl123) I'll post the link to the pic below.

simple open the picture file using paint, paint gives you options on how you want the picture to be saved as. Also any version of Adobe Photoshop does the same
