i have a 95 tahoe with about 8 to 10in of lift

I had to take my stock torsion keys off when I installed my lift kit. I jacked my truck up and removed my tires. Let the A-arms drop as far as they go, then unload the torsion bar tension by unbolting the bolts that you use to crank the torsion keys. You should then be able to undue the bolts that hold the cross member to the frame and you should then be able to slide the torsion bars out of the keys. It might take a lil wiggling around and an extra set of hands from a buddy Hope I helped!.
