  2. Well, an avian vet would know how to do it properly without hurting the bird even more.

  3. Splint the broken site both proxal and distal with two touthpicks with a soft cloth, not too tight to stop circulation. Be sure to cover thew toothpicks with a layer of soft sloth also so it doesn't directly come in contact with the bird's leg.

    I am extrapolating knowledge for human injuries.

  4. You take it to the vet and let him do it.

    Vets that are certified to handle wildlife for the fish and game department will do it for free.

    If this is a pet bird, you'll have to pay.
