  1. Leave them with the mother. If the mother is not taking care of them, or being aggressive to them, you'll need to raise them yourself. Keep a close eye on her and make sure she's taking care of them and not eating them!

  2. You should not remove the babies from the mother until they are three weeks old. Until then, do not touch them since their scent would change and mommy hamster would get confused and kill them. Otherwise, the mama hamster will take all the care of her little ones.

The most important thing is to make the mother hamster happy and stressfree - give her lots of food and water, feed her lots of proteins. The following protein rich foods can be given to mother hamsters -

1.Bits of hard boiled egg (preferably only the white since white is rich in proteins and the yellow portion can be too fattening)

2.Skimmed milk (don't give full cream milk, fattening for the little hamsters)

3.Bits of cheese (plain cottage cheese, unsalted and unflavoured)

    4.Bread soaked in skimmed milk

The key is to keep the mother healthy and stress free so that she can go about her chore of baby caring without any other disturbances as overdue stress and illhealth seems to make the mother kill the babies.

You can try to touch them when they are 2 weeks or older provided mamma hamster is unbothered by it. If she looks bothered, refrain from doing so until the pups are three weeks old.

Between 3 weeks - 4 weeks, the pups can be weaned from the mother and can be caged separately. Also s*x the pups and separate the males and females into different cages since they are sexually mature from 5th week onwards.

Separate the father from the family since leaving him in would cause the parents to mate again and another litter so quickly is not good for the health of the mother hamster.

  3. leave them with the parents and they will take care of them. pay extra attention to the parents . they'll need it

  4. ok first seperate the dad from the babies and dont touch the hamster or the mother and her nest....make sure the mother has alot of food and water.....and dont touch them...because if the hamster smell a human scent or sense that her babies are in danger she may eat them.....dont touch the babies for about 10-14 days....hope i could help

  5. Leave them with the mom not dad!

yep them are cutesy hhhmmmm.......yeah give him milk they need calcium(yesh bad speller)preferably warm and goats milk...but don't give him to much cheese and egg when hes bigger make sure those are only treats!Oh some love this orange slices and apple is okies. And does he eat pellets yet?Do you have pellets(not colored or dyed!)?If so warm mash/mosh.

  6. will this is what i did when ever you have to get the babies out don't touch them or else the mom or dad will eat it. Also for food what i fed mine was bread soaked in milk. best of luck=)

  7. what kind of hamsters?  syrians can't be kept together at all (parents I mean) he will eat them and dwarves can, the dad will take care of the babies.  Now you want to take the dad out anyway because the mom can get pregnant right after giving birth and that's irresponsible to let that happen.  Plus it shortens her lifespan.

BAbies can be taken from their mothers when they start eating solid foods.  Put bread soaked in milk in there for them and the mom to have extra nutrition.  boil her chicken...she will LOVE IT.

don't ever touch them or even go near them, the mom will eat them right away.  let nature do it's thing, she'll be able to handle it.
