  1. All depends on what operating system you have. If you are using windows Xp then you have to go into control panel and disable it in your security center. If you have windows firewall then you should have an icon in your control panel for the windows firewall

  2. You simply go into your anti-virus system and go to firewall settings. Turn them off. Hope this helped!

  3. If you have windows OS you can stop firewall using

start >> run >> services.msc >> search for "Windows firewall" service from the list  then right click on it and stop

For linux just execute the command "service iptables stop"

  4. If it's your windows xp firewall blocking you, go to start>control panel>securitycenter> scroll down and go to windows firewall options> then go to Off(Not Recommended). It it's another firewall coming from your modem, try calling up your ISP and seeing what's going on and if you can take the firewall down. If it's another PROGRAM, then specify, or un-install the program.

  5. Go to Control Panel, Double click Windows Firewall, Click on the option "Off".

    The firewall is down.
