We have a 125 gallon glass fish tank and cannot get the calcium deposits off. We have used vinegar and used razors but it still has a cloudy look. Is there anything else that we can use. I know everyone else has said not to use CLR or any chemicals but I don't know what else to use.

  1. you can get algae remover pads or just use the CLR and then scrub it like there is no tomorrow. if that doesn't work I don't know what but make sure if you do use chemicals that you get them ALL of or it could kill your fish.

  2. with a scourer, water and elbow greese. it will talke a while but it will work. dont use steel wool. a general green  scourer will do the trick, buy a new one so it doesnt have chemicals on it. ive worked in a pet store with lots of fishtanks for 8 years now. iv also had multiple fishtanks my whole life. this is the only method i have used and it works fine for me. u mite have to have a few goes at it. once its gone if you do it regularly you wont get the build up again. you can safely use this method while the tank is still in use, it will not hurt your fish. we use the same scourers to clean the algae off too.
