How do you take screen capture images?

Question

Without using a camera. Do you know what i'm talking about? Like this:

Just hit print screen button on your keyboard...then open photoshop ( assuming u have it of course) or another photo editing software and hit paste or ctrl+v and BAM u have a screen shot/capture

I'm partial to Quick Screen Capture.  It's not free but it sure is a good one.

On the Mac, you can use the 'Grab' application to capture the screen. The Grab application can be found in the Applications/Utilities folder. Alternatively, just type in 'grab' in Spotlight to find it.

Run Grab, then choose Capture --> Screen

on the mac its command, the one with the arrow up and 3 at the same time. youll find the image on your desktop

Hold down CTRL and press the  "Print Screen" button. That takes a screenshot of the whole screen.

If you juat want to take a screenshot of the active window (the one on top), hold down ALT at the same time

While holding down CTRL key press the 'print scrn' key.

Then open your fav text or graphic program and once again hold down the CTRL key and press the 'V' key.
