How do you take something from an audio cassette and put it on a CD?

Is it relatively easy to do? Does it cost anything? Thanks in advance.

  1. You can just play the cassette through the stereo and use a recording program to record it as long as you have a mic to pick the sound up of the song, the problem with this is you will pick up all back ground sounds as well. Once its recorded to your pc just use media player to rip a cd. You can also connect your cassette playing device directly to your pc and do the same thing, first way is easier but sound quality isnt as great and you would need to put through a sound prgram to touch it up.


  2. it is easy, the...um...some places sell something that looks like a cassette. Its slightly larger with a wire attacked. You put your cassette inside there and connect it to a converter, burner, or maybe your computer, not sure, and you can convert it and transfer it onto a cd. Hope this information helps. Sorry i couldnt get the name of the device.
