I heard of an idea once that some universities have these programs that allow people to donate spare hard drive space/processor power/memory over the internet, to help run codes or whatever they're doing. I was wondering if there is a way for me to do that, so I could drain the power of my desktop and use it on my laptop.

  1. I don't know how it works exactly, but basically through a network to tell a computer to run a program, and then your computer will just be in charge of sending and receiving data through the net.

I friend of mine did that at school.

  2. You are confused, I'm not sure what are you talking about but there is no hardware part from a desktop that will fit a laptop.
