How do you talk someone out of getting piercings??

My friend (a boy) has been "threatening" to pierce himself in certain places (eyebrow, ear, lip, etc) and I know that piercing yourself like with a pin is dangerous. He already pierced his ear and I know he will pierce something else. Plus it is UGLY having too many piercings so how do I talk him out of it?

Show them pictures of nasty infected junk

not your body, so not your business.  as long as he has the money, and is going to a pro, then leave him alone.  piercings can be removed.  if he's doing it himself, then he'll learn not to do it when his eyebrow gets a nasty infection.

Since you're telling him it's ugly he likely won't listen to you. It's his body and he can decorate it any way he wants.

That said, self piercing with safety pins is very dangerous.

Stop nagging about your personal views and stick to the facts.

Using materials that are not sterile can cause infection. Wearing safety pins as jewelry is no good because they are very low quality metal and not shaped properly.

well hes an idiot for not at least buying his own sterile piercing needles which you can buy easily. and for the part about ugliness, well thats his choice on what he thinks
