  1. Don't i hate when people do that it looks stupid and the only thing it does it makes your stick heavy, start at the heel and tape will about an inch from the toe, only use one layer of tape! it wears away faster but it keeps your stick light, that's what i find works best, i end up re taping my stick almost every game though because that tape gets all ripped up from slap shots, i use a lot of hockey tape but its not expensive and its really no big deal to re tape because it only takes a minute....   i hope this helps but it probably doesnt but taping the toe of your stick really is stupid and pointless

  2. I tape the whole blade personally. Friction tape does a better job keeping water and slush out, which can delamiante the wood faster, but it's heavier than the cloth tape. (That's for my player sticks) On a goal stick I always use cloth tape preferably white

  3. I tape it like Bobby Orr just because it's unique.

  4. Wrip a 3-4 inch piece of friction tape off and place in vertically over the tip before taping the whole blade it does make your wooden blades last longer since water is not getting through as much. The only draw back is when you are stick handling making flip passes or taking a wrist shot you cant feel the puck hit the wood at the end of the tape which is how I ussually gauge my releases and follow throughs.
