How do you teach "Play Dead"?

Or the trick where you make a gun with your hand and yell bang and the dog plays dead?

well this is how i taught my dogs who to play dead 1.tell your dog to lay down or if it is already laying lightly push it on its side 2.tell it dead/bang while you have your hand on its head holding it down 3.lightly take your hands off the dog slowly if it tries to move its head up lightly push its head down and tell it no dead/bang until you don't have to hold it then you can use your hand to make a gun

this is wat u do! when ur dog is layind down say ur dead! and give him a treat! then say ur dead and see if he lays down

Ok well it make take a while for your dog to understand but this is what I did with my dog. First, make your hand like a gun and say bang bang and then roll your dog over.  Then when you roll him over, reward him.  Continue doing this and after a while you should just be able to say bang, bang and point your hand like a gun and he'll roll over on his own.
