  1. slap em around for a little  i did that with my baby whenever he cries

  2. Step by step, slowly show them the way you do it.

Make sure you are standing (most likely squatting) beside your child and not in front of them. If you stand in front of them and try to explain they wont get it because they are watching from a backwards point of view. A good idea is to slowly tie one of their shoes while they watch and then have them try doing the other one.

    Patience is always good too!

  3. I cheated and had my husband do it. Not sure how he did, but they all learned really fast. You might try the two loops, then tucking method.

  4. make a bow and tie the lace around the bow

  5. Just have them watch you, kids are smart they'll get it.

  6. when i was little my dad and my mom both did it seperate ways. however my dad taught me and when i got a little older i learned how my mother did it.

you will have to repeat it many times because they will probably not get it right the first couple of times.

first make sure your child is ready. they usually learn between the ages of 4-6. remember to only choose one method of shoe tieing and make sure you are next to them instead of across from them.

the first step is to cross both laces to form an x. then tuck one lace under and pull both laces. (the rabbit goes under)

the second step is to make a loop, make sure it is big enough. (that is the tree)

the third step is to rap the oppisite string around the loop. (the rabbit is running around the tree)

the fourth step is to tuck the lace you just rapped around the loop and tuck it under. (now the rabbit is running under the tree)

the final step is to pull the tucked under lace so it forms into a loop. pull both loops so they are even. (look they're two bunny ears)

make it seem like a game. then the child will want to learn. praise them every time they get it right and eventually they will memorize how to do it on their own.

  7. Just buy him velcro shoes.
