How do you tell if a black molly is pregnant?

I dont know if mine is, she has had two baches of fry. I never watched her give birth and she never seems to change at all.I want to know the next time and I do have a pair of black mollys.

Her belly will get so BIG.   She will look as if she is going to POP she will be so fat.

her belly would be big.she will be swimming on top of the tank.but watch out a black molly eats her babies trust me i had a black molly and she had 37 babies.the babies will need alot of places to hide other fish in the tank will try to eat them as well.they grow much faster eating brine shrimp,egg yolk

Mollies tend to blow a lot and their bellies pop up and become huge when they r pregnant. But yes, if you won't separate the fry or if you don't have am lot of plants in your tank so the fry can hide, it's more likely to get eaten byt the mother or some other fish. Try buying a breeder. look here:

it's a plastic thing or a net thing that you place the pregnant fish in and after she gives birth you take the mother out. so the fry is separated and safe! good luck!

It's very subtle, but their stomachs get to be a little bigger. In any case, you should separate the fry from the bigger fish, because they will eat them.
