As I said before, my frogs nip at each other. I really don't know if they are male or female. They may be too young to tell. I got them from a beach store in like July. Please someone help me figure this out!

  1. I own clawed frogs, Xenopus laevis, and one way to tell is during breeding, the males develop black stripes on the inside of their forearm (to grip the female better.)  I don't think it works the same way with dwarf frogs, Hymenochirus curtipes though, but most frogs from the family Pipidae (Tongueless frogs, like dwarfs, African claweds, and Suriname toads) are avid breeders, so if you catch them in the act, that would be a good way to tell.  Females are on average larger though.
