Im pretty sure that my Cat is pregnant, I just need some more information and/or opinions. She is Six months old and a month ago she was definetly in heat because she wouldnt stop meowing at the door(she is an inside cat). Then about 3 weeks ago she was out for the whole day because she is good at sneaking past people. Ever since she got back, I have noticed four changes. One, she is getting slightly fatter, two, she is more independant and grumpy which is a major change in her atitude. Three, the meowing has stoped, and four, she eats more than before. Please help me!!

  1. The signs you are seeing sound like she is pregnant.  To give you a little more information, I have attached a cat pregnancy calendar.

About 3 weeks into gestation is the earliest you will have visible signs so this calendar goes from that point through the first two signs of labor.  Gestation averages 63 days.

At six months your kitty is just a kitten herself. Pregnancy is difficult on any body (human or feline), but due to her young age, please have her vet check her and monitor her pregnancy.

    Purrs to you and kitten.

  2. You may have some kittens on the way.You should get her fixed inside cat or not.It will at least stop the meowing.

  3. If she is pregnant she wont like you touching near her belly, and her belly will be bigger, she will prob spend more time on her own, i would be carefull, my last cat was just under a year old and she was pregnant and she was rele ill from having kittens too young, and ur cats 6 months old, in the end my cat died and one of the kittens had a very bad disease from it all. i wish u luck.

  4. don't be afraid, feel her stomach, and check her stomach for nipples, the nipples will develop quickly and become swollen further into the pregnancy... If you feel her stomach and you feel lumps in it, you probably feel the babies, just let nature take it's course...

  5. Why don't you hurry and get her spayed so you don't have to worry about it?  The world does not need more kittens.

  6. ohhh yeah.

    your cat is pregnant.

if you gently place your hands around her sides, and it feels swollen, then she's pregnant. Her sides will get bigger and it will look like she waddles when she walks.

Just try not to pick her up a lot and dont let her go outside , and give her extra food.

  7. Unless you’re breeding your cat chances are you won’t know your cat is pregnant until she is well along in the gestation period. The mother doesn’t begin to bulge noticeably until a couple of weeks before delivery time. Here are a few signs and symptoms you may see if your cat is pregnant:

    - Nipples will begin to enlarge and become more soft and pink (this is the #1 sign)

    - Weight gain, especially around the mid-section

    - Increase in appetite, this usually occurs close to birth

    - Some cats may become more affectionate than usual

    - Cats may also exhibit morning sickness

    - Nesting activity begins
