  1. My best guess is that it might be one of those days. It could be that or that some one has been miss treating her properly. I know my friend's Guinea pig did the same thing cause she was very very grumpy and tired. My hamster did it cause my room became to hot and so wat I did was either turned on the fan in there and shut the door so that way the cool air would stay in. But I must tell you this...my friend left her Guinea pig outside to play and it crawled out into the sun and started to get over heated. So she put cold ice packs around it and tried to get her to cool off. Then later that night the hamster passed away. So you need to be careful about that sort of stuff and make sure you do not make it to cold. Ok well I hope it feels better.

  2. Because there is no blood assocated with the estrus cycle, one has to be extremely well versed in knowing what is normal or not normal for YOUR piggies.

Typical out-of-the-ordinary symptoms are grouchiness and a bit of slight swelling around the female parts.

  3. its probably just more frighten than the other piggie.

every piggie have their own personality ;)

  4. Since guinea pigs do not bleed when they are in heat, it can be hard to tell. Usually she will be more agitated especially with other female pigs. So you are probably right in guessing she is in heat. Just keep an eye on her to make sure she is eating and drinking normally and shows no signs of illness.

Addition: If she is being nippy and doesn't want to be held, you may want to treat her for mites. Mites can cause the piggie pain when touched. You can't usually see mites and vet scrappings are painful and useless. Read this page and go ahead and treat both your pigs. http://www.guinealynx.info/mites.html
