I am very confused about what to do anymore. I am 5 1/2 months pregnant with my first child and a concern of mine is how to tell a 13 year old girl whom thinks she is so mature that i don't want her babysitting when the baby is born. The thing is this girl can be amazing, she is very smart and pretty and she wants to be something in life. The only problems are, she began smoking pot, drinking, hanging out with kids way older than her, and is into bigger and harder drugs. she isn't really doing things like coke and crack, or things like that but she is popping pills although prescribed to her she is taking more than should be. I mean i really love her and i want the best for her. She says personal life is personal and she wont put my child near anything like that. But then again she is 13, and i just don't know how to brake to her that she isn't even close to as mature that she thinks she is, and that i don't think she is really capable of even babysitting...

  1. Yeah if she is doing that kind of stuff then do not under any circumstances let her watch your baby. Just give it to her straight, if she is atleast a little mature then she will understand. And if she doesn't and protests then tell her it is only another sign of how immature she is. Use examples of what could happen if she was on drugs while watching your baby. Or if she accidently left some of her pills laying around and the baby found them etc. Really just tell her straight up, no shortcuts its the best for her, for you, and for your baby. You might want to get HER some help too. If you know she is smoking pot, and drinking at 13 you should do something about it if you haven't already. Just my opinion.
