Question:

How do you tell the age on a pokemon card?

I would like to know the different dates and all. Also If there is a a card that is a 1997 and they reprint the same one with a different date or is the date the same?

You can usually find the date of release for each card on the lower bottom right of the card (reallllyy tiny print, lol); if the card is a re-release you can generally tell because it will have a small 2 with a funny circle around it on the lower right of the card's picture.  I have a first release Caterpie and a re-release Caterpie, and the re-release has a more faded-style drawing, a later date, and a 2 on the corner.  (Yes, re-release cards will always have a later date, like 2002 rather than 1998 or so).

  3. Try to buy the exact same card and some comparisons and if there's something different about the newer one, than I'm sure you can tell.

    You could also tell by the graphics and the picture.
