How do you tell the diffrence between red wine stain and blood stain on a carpet?

Blood will go a very dark brown and thicker than wine.

I do it with a drop of hydrogen peroxide, if it foams up it is blood, if it doesn't it is red wine.  Works every time and you only need a drop.  BTW the new Resolve with Oxycleaner will remove both.
