How do you tell the sizing on a pair of Volcom Snow pants?

I recently acquired a pair of Volcom Snow pants and I can't tell if they are men's or women's or what the sizing is. On the inside I see an "M" by the logo....but I am not sure if that mean's Medium. PLEASE help...this is driving me crazy.

If there is a zipper in front, they are probably men's, the M is medium, Try 'em on for size, most seem to be pretty generic since the style is for a loose fit now except race gear, which is custom fit.
