i recently bought a hamster from a pet shop. they have many breeds there and apparently this hamster's breed is Silver Blue.(a new breed, has very light brown fur, a darker shade of brown lining going down its body from head to toe, and white on its underside) but when i search for it on the net i can't find it! so, could it be a breed that's actually from a well-known category? does anyone have any ideas on it? thanks. Also, do you think molted winter white hamsters can mix with it? i plan to buy one. pls reply asap thanks!

  1. i went to this website to find out. i have 2 syrian hamsters so look at this page : ) http://www.hamsterific.com/Varieties.cfm hope i helped you!!!!!! good luck to you and your hamster!!!

  2. You normally tell by size.

If it's about the size of your fist, it's a Syrian hamster.

If it's about one tenth of that size, it's a dwarf hamster.

The breed isn't 'silver blue'- the fur colouring may be.

It's just like 'teddy bear' hamsters aren't a different breed.
