How do you tell what year an engine block is im looking at buying a 350 off my friend bare block?

Look on the side of the block under the passenger head mount,there will be a plate with number stamped in it..copy these numbers down,edit this question with the number and I will tell you what year it is.

there should be a serial number stamped on the block.
