How do you tell your mom that you can't live with her anymore?

I moved in with my mom about 3 years ago after a bad break up. My dad had died. So, we decided it would help us both out. I have a daughter still in school. We decided to split the responsibilities down the middle. Everything has been in her name. So I pay directly to her. I trusted her, she is my mom. Than we did get evicted from the house we were renting for rent not paid. That was the first house. Now we are in the 2nd house and getting evicted again for the same thing. I can't put my daughter or myself through this anymore!! HELP!!! How do I put this to her?

  1. Explain to your mum that you dont feel that it is fair to put your young family through this again.

She should understand that you want to go it alone.

Also - dont let her talk you out of it, it sounds like your mum has bad money issues, and if your not careful the 'bad credit report' may end up under both your names.

    Good luck

    xx

  2. It's implied when you get your own place and move out.  Otherwise, you should keep your mouth shut.

  3. Just tell her you are getting your own apartment and do it.

  4. Just tell her, straight out.  Don't try and hide your feeling or else it will cause bitterness.  You still want to have a good relationship with her.

  5. Explain to her that she can not manage her finances which is putting you and your daughter in a bad position financially, that you decided to move out.
