  1. Throw out all politicians that voted yes to amnesty, dream act and the guest worker bills. Do not elect anyone who is willing to suck up to illegals and their cronies.

  2. This government is dependent on taxes for its actions. Anything to restrict the taxing and spending by our leaders will help bring some Congressmen to their senses. Protests-polls-citizens contacting their congressperson does not seem to have any effect---as proof, about 86% of the people want our borders secured and immigration controlled but yet Congress will not act----does this not prove they pay no attention to the will of the people.

  3. Get on blogs to stop paying taxes. That will get their attention.

  4. If you are unhappy with the way your federal legislator has performed do not vote them back into office. It is time for us to take back our government. We can only do this by voting. We must let our legislators know we control their future. Our Congress continues to ignore the social issues and domestic problems by fighting among themselves and then blaming the other party. I am retired, if I would have done my job the way our Congress people do theirs I would have been fired and rightfully so. Remember until we have term limits our Congress people will be bought off by big business and will not represent our interests. So the only solution is to vote out the incumbent and forget party affiliations. DO NOT VOTE FOR AN INCUMBENT!!!!!

  5. There are many things that we could/should do, but many people are ignorant, and couldn't tell you who the vice president is. If a large enough group was organized, I'm sure government would listen. I think it's still early though, wait until the government stops caring about the people a little more, and we'll all be marching to Washington with pitchforks and torches.

--And I'm a Republican who supports Bush, so you know the government doesn't work.

  6. We the people need to hold the media responsible when they promote outright lies and misinformation campaigns. A few journalists adorning light posts might awaken in them a sense of responsibility, and in the light of truth, the politicians would have no choice but to surrender to the will of the people.

  7. we the people should elect people who uphold our values and take away their right to vote themselves pay-raises. dont just elect the same guy because hes been there for the last umpteen years! do some research and find someone who says that they will vote the way you want them to. quit being a sheep. presidential elects are all in your face, but the senators/congresspeople are the ones who vote and enact the laws so why are they not more important?

  8. People watch to much television and believe everything they hear. Sad...I am WE THE PEOPLE and I'm mad as h**l over what has happened to my country. The net people seem to raise enough money for people who want to be president...Why the h**l ain't they flooding the senators or congressmen email with a few of their WE THE PEOPLE views. Better yet write to the president himself....I know if he can't read what we have to say at least his wife can....Enough is enough....If WE THE PEOPLE regardless of your party don't speak up soon  I'm afraid all will be lost......Just keeping it real....One of the WE THE PEOPLE

  9. It is the fact the masses of Americans do not have most of this country's problems appearing in their backyards. It is the fact most Americans are more interested in Paris Hilton's Christmas getaway (if she had one) than what will actually affect them. It is our complicity. I see the problem as stemming back from WWII. It was a war we had a bit of justification to enter;but, the aftermath is a big part of the problem.

Americans were propagandized by the Government in World War II. If you went to a theater, you most likely were seeing some propagandized nonsense about how we're out fighting evil.

After World War II what I view as American Imperialism heated up as never before. All of a sudden we're the big daddy of half the world, fighting the "evil" Communists. We justified our spending an incredible amount of our funds by scaring our own people. It is the Cold War mentality, it is our standing Army (founding fathers warned us not to have standing Armies).

The masses will always be the masses. They are not interested in events outside their personal borders. They are not informed, meaning those in power merely have to scare them to obtain unquestioning obedience.

Hitler really summed it up: "What a wonder for leaders men do not think for themselves" (close to verbatim I believe). This is true everywhere. We had politicians scaring the heck out of Americans with these Atomic Bomb drills in schools, yada yada.

The politicians began passing laws that were unconstitutional (and I believe they are today, though not "officially). This goes back to the early 1900s though.

They passed laws against drugs. Yes, drug usage is devastating;but, if one is truly free, do they not have the right to use a substance should it not cause harm to others? Some of them do harm people, but many of them do not. If we should ban, should we not ban all substances? Why should one not have the option to use a substance that may harm them self, yet harm them less than what our government says they may use, many will use regardless of legality, creating a conundrum of problems. Sorry for the Micro-Analyzing here, just one of those things that gets under my skin, one of many infringements upon our supposed ideals.

People cannot/will not see we are not what we paint ourselves to be. The media's meddling knows no bounds either. Many (media, corporations;corporations & media)are in bed with the politicians and are dictating THEIR policy to Americans, Americans are not dictating themselves.

Look at how few vote! I tell you, it is an attitude problem, a lack of understanding, meddling from those that have obtained unwarranted power;and a complete lack of respect for everything we should stand for! Americans don't realize ALL governments will take freedom away, that is the nature of government. Americans don't understand we have to fight to have what we once did!

Now we're the world's policeman. Ha! I've never read of a true Republic going around meddling in other countries' affairs(Rome started using "pre-emptive" attacks and became an Empire, sound familiar to today's America?). Our government and media tell our mindless citizens we are doing it all for good. Well, as a History major, I'll tell you, no evil man has ever thought he was doing evil. They have always committed atrocities for "good." We have no business going around the world telling others how to live. If someone threatens us, if Congress actually declares War (which is something...well, let's not bother with it these days!) then we fight;otherwise, it is illegal. It is up to we Americans to vote appropriately, and NOT TOLERATE this BS.

Most of we want out of Iraq,ok, well our government (or we the people, same thing, right?) says not yet. That one thing should show Americans we are not running the show. Those with unwarranted influence are.

They're taking away our freedoms slowly. That is how it has worked through history. Hitler did not destroy people's freedoms right away, he eroded their freedoms, slowly. A little thing here, a little thing there, the people didn't fight back; so Hitler took that as a sign he could continue to take freedom away from the Germans. When the Germans woke up (when Hitler declared Emergency Rule), at least 100,000 Germans went to protest in Berlin(actually happened);but, guess what!? It was too late. Hitler had already eliminated the opposition, as the Germans had sat back and did nothing. When Hitler moved to the extreme and some Germans finally wanted to stop it, it was just too late. That is what is happening in America with our Patriot Acts and Bullcrap they pull on us.

To outright answer your question, Americans need to be vigilant. If we refuse to be vigilant citizens, the h**l with it. We need to keep spreading awareness and try to spark interest amongst our people. I'm 21, few people my age like the government, yet few have a darn clue what it is; and very few care to learn & participate.

As long as it doesn't outright affect us, what's Britney Spears up to? Cheers!

  10. I think that some people are so brainwashed by the government that they are going to do whatever they say they hould or have to do with no questions asked. I personally think that for there to be any change in our government ever more people need to start stepping up and speaking out against them, they say we are free I say we are nowhere close!

    Vote Ron Paul 2008 president!!!!!!

  11. We MUST revolt.  If we do not the dictatorship which already is in full bloom will prevail FOREVER!!
