How do you think I can improve my website?

I have developed my own website over the past few years and am in need of honest and critical feedback. I would like to make improvements, but need the opinion of people who are looking at it for the first time. Are there ways I can improve the visual presentation or the written information? Does the website flow? Should I provide more information? Is the information presented clearly? What type of feeling do you get when you visit it? Is there artwork on there that should be removed? Should I add more? Please be as honest and as critical as you can. Thank you so much. My website is www.PortraitArtOnline.com

  1. Portraits and other works of art by Portrait Artist Suzana Achey

<you need to up the font size of that by 1 or 2 points... as well as your brief bio page font. This can also be accomplished by maybe using 'bold' instead of size changes. The cursive text is nice and compliments your artwork, but is hard to make out on black sometimes. I'd personally just bold it. Site appears complete though~ all the info you want to stand out does~ works nicer than most I see and your work speaks for itself~ kudos!~ shelb!~ http://www.americandischord.com speaking of sites...

  2. Here are the biggest issues for me, i'll try to make it short:

-Personally, i would have used white instead of black because It looks more professional

-On the homepage, I think you should get rid of everything below the bar (underlining the title) to above the first picture; that information is at the bottom and you have a link for the artist info

-The paragraph that explains what you do (further down the homepage) should be at the top below the title; it should be bolded and shortened to about 3 sentences MAX...just tell me what you do.

-Only important and necessary information should be on the entire site. Details should mainly be on other pages in the site.

-Lastly, don't use fancy fonts that are hard to read and definitely NO paragraphs in italics; that's annoying to read. Some words maybe, but i would just stay away from italics overall.

I didn't have a chance to see it all, but those are the big ones for me
