How do you think I can make my school year seem to go fast?

Okay, I'm starting Junior High (7th grade) on August 27, 2008. I am really scared since it's going to be a whole new school filled with different people from other schools. We start earlier than Elementary like at 7:25 am, but we have to be there at least at 7:00. Elementary started at 9:00 am, so that is a change. Also, we get out earlier and have many new classes and new clubs/after school activities. Also, I am afraid about bullies and not being able to see my old friends from 6th grade. How can I get over this?

  2. Just be cool and go with it. Dont stress about all the little things. Just be with your friends and have a good time.

  3. keep ur head in the books during school hours and the join an after school act..

  4. Staying busy always makes the time go faster.

  5. believe me, it will go by fast. when everything is new like that...it goes by in the blink of an eye.

plan lots of activities with your friends to look forward too also

don't worry. there won't be bullies.

  6. im going to 7th grade too and i dont worry about bully's anyone who messes with me im not afraid to fight back and im about 5' foot and 90 pounds im not scared of anything except like..... small tight spaces lol and im not worried bout anything to make time fly i just make more and more freinds

  7. Im gong to 8th grade so i know how 7th grade is. if you want it to go by faster then you should join a club or get a girlfriend.

Oh and you should see most of your friends unless you move.

  8. ok, how exciting! i look back on my junior high days...i miss that time. I too went to a school like yours with the same changes. we were all worried about mixing with kids from new cities...but in the end i made new friends and had the best of memories. just go with the flow and dont be shy!

have fun..keep your chin up time flies!

  9. don't worry about all the negative things. middle school

really isn't bad- it's actually fun being with friends, and if

you can't see your old ones, try to make new ones. there

has got be at leasto ne other person you can bond with.

having a good/fun time throughout the year will

definitely make it go by a whole lot quickerrrrr.

  10. haha i remember

    7th grade it wasnt

that bad im in 9th now

but all i did was try too

have as much fun as i

    could dont think about

the bad things or the long

days it makes time go sooo....

    much slower! good luck!!

  11. Lol I had your same problem when I was going into 7th grade. I'm going into 8th grade now. My middle school starts at 9:15....

But to make your school year go fast... I always tried to think of something to look forward to. Any day off's, vacations, parties with friends or sleepovers.

About the bullies. I had a similiar problem with a few girls. They thought they were oh-so-pretty-and-popular. I stood up for myself a few times, and sometimes did some things to make them leave me alone. It's sometimes hard to deal with bullies though.... Don't know if that's much help....

Hopefully you have some classes with your old friends. At my middle school, we are divided into 2 teams, and if you are on 1 team, you won't have any classes or anything with the other team. 1 of my best friends was on the other team, so I didn't get to see her much, but we still hung out in the mornings and such. But the mornings are the best time to see your friends, in my opinion.

  12. They say that time flies when you're having fun. So, what you need to do is get involved in some extracurricular activities that will make life fun for you. You'll meet new friends that way and be too busy to worry about bullies. Yeah - get in shape by getting involved in wrestling or a sport. Most bullies are not as tough as they seem and will back off of someone tougher than them. You need to find something that you really enjoy that can be like a passion for you so that you can focus on it and forget about some of those other challenges.

  13. Be open to trying new things and go in with a positive attitude.  If you go in thinking it will be bad, then it WILL be bad.  Don't look to far into the future and focus on just getting through today.  Also, to prepare for getting up earlier, try to make sure you get enough sleep the first few nights before school starts, or you'll be a wreck and make a bad impression when you start.  Above all, RELAX!  School is NOT going to be that different in the new year from the way it used to be.

  14. oh man, it'll go by really fast.

pay attention to middle school, it can be the best time of ur life.

  15. Dont worry! It is scary moving from elementary to Junior high, but it is a lot more fun and you get lots of freedom and you meet new friends! Some kids are mean in Junior High, but it's not that bad. You'll be fine!

  16. Talk with your classmates and try to make new friends, then chill out with them. It will go much faster

  17. have fun!!

  18. I totally know how you feel. I just started high school last year and went though the same thing. Before you know it you will be meeting tons of new people and even though you might get picked on at first for being the "little kids" there isn't much that can be done about it. it will quickly fade though.

You can always see you're old friends after school and next year when you are in 8th grade.

  19. dude.... middle school here is 6-8, 7th is just... a regular year.

it all goes by pretty quickly, no sweat.

ur a lot different... we started ealier in elemenrty and later in middle, then got out later in middle.... highschool i think starts either a bit ealier or the same times, lets out earlier.

.... ahh, u get 20 more days than i do!!! i go back the 7th, i'll be a junior in hs.

it's all easy, dude. make new friends, be urself, just chill nad have fun. it's easy and above all, try not to get lost. lol

  20. I teach junior high and the trick is to take the subject you hate most and force yourself to make it your favorite, spend more time on it than the others and get a special notebook for that class.

  21. Hey I'm a sophomore in High School.

Don't worry. Middle school will be a breeze.

    trust me.

Just do what ever you did in elementary school. Its really not that bad to be in Middle School.

  22. aww lol

u shuldnt b scared idk about ur skul but mine der was nevr any problems wit bullies- u kno 4 me

a few ppl u kno got beat up 4 talkin **** every cuple months bt hey dats makes skul interestin lol

    gud luck

  23. Usually with middle school, you can talk to the counsiler and he/she will be able to get you in with a few classes with your friends.

Middle school really isn't as scary as it seems.

I was really scared too when I started 7th grade, but that year was so much fun.

    You'll be fine.

    I promise.

  24. Ok seriously, don't worry about bullies. Middle school is NOT like all the t.v. shows where the bullies steal your lunch money. That's a bunch of c**p. No one will give you problems unless you give them a reason to. Next, join a bunch of clubs/sports to make new friends. Be friendly, and talk to people you normally wouldn't. Trust me, the year will go by super fast if you work hard. If you don't participate, it'll seem like you're sitting there for hours. If you work, school will go by fast. Good luck. I loved 7th grade, hopefully you will too.

  25. just don't think about school bro, think about the fun things you gonna do over the break and weekends

    hope i helped bro

  26. school goes fast when you have fun...... my freshman year went by so quick...... its like a blur now

  27. make it fun while you studying also do fun activities to help like singing or having a study party

  28. Just relax and take it one day at a time.

You will drift away from some of your elementary friends, that is almost inevitable, but sometimes that is actually for the better in the long run.

One thing I can't stress enough is to GET INVOLVED. In choir, drama, band, sports, SOMETHING. It is quintessential to be involved in a club. You will make many long lasting friends through a school club, and it will be easier having a close knit group of people to talk through your new Jr. High experiences with, who are experiencing the same kinds of things you are.

  29. ur freaking urself out.  im in highschool and its way better.  more freedom and stuff.  dont even worry.

  30. there are never as many bullies as kids expect. stop worrying so much; youre scaring yourself. things may be a little different, but you will get used to things soo fast..way faster than you expect. be really outgoing in class and try to never let things bring you down..bad moods make days crawl by. if you try to be happy and outgoing, you will have a lot of friends and classes will become fun for you, making the day seem much shorter than if youre bored, and this will make weeks go fast and the year fly by. plus, if you have fun, itll be great to look back on! hope this helps.

  31. Oh my god, 7:30? To early for me. Anyways, just make as many friends as you can, just do what you want, usually there aren't any bullies. But I'm the one to say, I'm 6'2 now, and I'm only 15.
