How do you think Joba Chamberlain will do as a starter?

Now that his first start is in the books I want to know how everyone thinks he will do as a starter? Where will he be in a couple of years? Will he be like Cole Hamels, Tim Lincecum, or Edinson Volquez, or is this whole thing overhyped?

I am asking this because I just traded Ryan Howard and Cole Hamels for Miguel Cabrera, Joba, and AJ Burnett in a dynasty leauge.(So we keep all of our players on our team each year.) I think that Cabrera edges out Howard because he is four years younger, but I thought I would take a risk on Joba in hoping that he will be a top pitcher in the future. What do you think?

  1. There's no doubt he's a valuable fantasy player. I'm not sure how well he will do as a starter. Give him 3-4 more starts and we'll have a good idea. If I were the Yankees, I'd encourage Rivera to retire so Joba could step into the closer's role. I think you made out on the trade, so I wouldn't worry too much.

  2. HE will suck as bad as the yanks themselves

    GO SOX

  3. I dont think he'll do too good. He is only nasty as a setup man b/c batters only see him once in a game. After they see him a couple times, hes got nothing to suprise them with, making him hittable. His stamina is also unknown so we'll have to wait and see how much his arm can take.

  4. i dont think he will be a revelation. He will proably be a justin Verlander type pitcher

He is much better in the 8th inning
