  1. If he`s any  good, can we have him here to coach our national side ? Since we sacked Steve Mc Claren we could do with a change LOL

  2. I am a Fremantle supporter and it looks like the players like him, which is never a bad thing. Neither is the fact that he was a hard nut as a player. On the negative side, I am concerned about the drafting of Mark Johnson, as we already have too many short, slow movers. It also has a whiff of a favour being called in. (BTW Wayne, what's make you think you are entitled to an opinion? Few Aussies couldn't give two hoots about that dull-witted slugfest that you call rugby league.)

  3. Bomber vs Harvey ... Interesting match up!

I always thought he was a bit pasty.  But anyone who plays AFL has to be reasonably tough.

He's smart but is he cunning?  I guess time will tell- you could do a lot worse and also, who would have picked that mediocre players like Sheedy and Malthouse would be such a good coaches?

    Only time will tell.

  4. How will he go coaching the Fremantle Bombers?

He has already got Dean Solomon there. Now he has recruited Mark Johnson & Kepler Bradley, all three are discarded Bombers players.

He has also got Dean Wallis as one of his many assistant coaches, plus Robert Shaw as the clubs operations general manager. Shaw, like Wallis, both at Essendon with Harvey, followed Him across the Nullabor.

I wonder if he also has one of Sheedy's jackets to wave about his head when they win a game!

In answer to this question, I don't think Fremantle will ever be any good until they start developing young players. I can't see much future in a club trying to buy a ready made team.

  5. If he coaches the way he played, the defence will improve without doubt, and the players will be very hard at the ball.

I think he will be great as a coach

  6. i think he will make a great coach

  7. I honestly think that sheedy was by far the best coach for Essendon. So in saying that if any of Sheedy's coaching tactics have rubbed off on Harvey, in which I think they would have. Then yes I think he would be a reasonable coach. Like someone said the defence would be strengthened. Myself, being a coach in another sport, for many years now, I believe a coach can only do so much. Its the team its self that needs to be good. If they are recruiting older ex essendon players, this may not be the answer. Taking a look at essendon last season, with the amount of older players, didn't make them the side that they once were.

Anyway I hope Dockers can prove everyone wrong, but I dont like their chances.

  8. What the Dockers need is a coach like Wayne Bennet from the Brisbane Broncos. Though Wayne would never coach AFL they need someone as tough as that man to forge them together as a team. They rely on their stars to much.

    Hey Grant dimwit DITTO

  9. I have no idea who he is ? Reminds me of the time I spent New Years Eve at Apollo Bay in Victoria, at a popular hotel, there apparently were A few AFL Stars there that night, I walked up to one of them after being told hes name and asked "Are you such & such".....than answered my own question with the words, "never heard of you".....which I hadn't, AFL is somewhat small here in Sydney, almost irrelevant compared with Rugby and Rugby League ! Hope you enjoyed the election though Molly )
