Honestly, I think this helps Leinhart. He's probably never going to be "QB 1" status at the NFL level. However, now he gets to ride pine, get paid, and sign with another club as he still gets to keep his "potential" status. If only David Carr was so lucky.

hopefully it finally gets him to try instead of just riding out his college dominance into the nfl without trying to adjust at all. i hope he finally gets that you dont automatically get a good career from a good college career

I agree with Tortuga, he's prolly thrilled that he's sitting out a year and getting paid millions. And once his contract runs up teams will think he has potential when he really doesnt
