How do you think Nathan Buckley would go at coaching an AFL team?

"It'd be a fairytale to be the head coach of Collingwood... Nathan Buckley".

Those are the words of Nathan Buckley - as they appear on the AFL LiveNews webpage.

I didn't know they had coaches for giving head. But he did mention that it would be a "fairy" tale.....ha ha ha....no pun intended! Really, no pun intended........

Buckley as coach ... he'd be a great skills coach.  Lousy team coach.  Like come on, you need a certain level of communications skills and intellect to be a team coach.

Guys like Malthouse, Sheedy, Thompson were never the blood and guts champions of their teams.  But they are all intelligent men!

Buckley as a fairy ... Oh, I'm not gonna say that to him.  You can.

Lol....... Nathan Buckley as coach, that would be good to see. I think he will do a great job as "HEAD" coach, as long as he has the respect from the team.

I think he would be to intense as a senior coach, if you had watched him as a player there was to much intensity and you could see his reaction when a team mate stuffed up.

I dont think he would go at all. I would hate him appointed coach of the team I follow.

Don't know him well enough but he seems to lack the intelligence for it, having said that there are some pretty dumb coaches out there but I agree with Ray, great skills coach but not the main man.

I don't think Buckley could coach at any level, let alone at the highest level. He does not come across as the sharpest tool in the shed.
