How do you think Tsonga and Monfils do at the US Open?

both returning from injuries can they go far or an early exit

Tsonga and Monfils have both had an awesome year. They're hard court specialists and I think they could do really well!

I guess it depends on the draw (which will be out tomorrow) and how they are doing physically. I first saw Tsonga at the Aussie Open when he played  that jaw-dropping match against Nadal. I haven't seen him on TV since then and I've been wondering what's been going on with him. If he is healthy and has a good draw, I think he can do well--he is an incredibly talented hard-court player. I like Monfils as well--he is incredibly talented, but I think he has to be more agressive and not play so far behind the baseline. You have to be more agressive on a hard court, and he has the talent to do it, but it doesn't seem to come naturally to him.

Hopefully they will get favorable draws and get the opportunity to shake off the rust in the first couple of rounds.

Monfils will do very well. He was very impressive in the olympics taking Djokovic to 3 sets. I think he will make the quarters. Tsonga hasn't been playing alot so I don't have a definit answer for him. I think if he is still in his great form he can make the quarters also.

There playing at the US Open?! Thats great, hope there both feeling fit and well. Its horrible when a athlete gets injured, im sure they`ll do good especially Tsonga i find him to be very talented, the only thing that sadly lets him down is injury.

Monfils is playing great at the moment, took Djokovic to three sets in Beijing and reached the quarters at the French back in May/June (ok it was on clay but he withstood pressure very well), could make it to the second week if he has a good draw. On the other hand, Tsonga has not played in a long time, is back after undergoing surgery so I wouldn't be surprised to see him exit the tournament in the early rounds.

I think Monfils will do really well. May beat James for a quater final spot. Monfils took a set off Novak at the Olympics and hes a very very good player.

Tsonga is an amazing talent but I have no idea how he is at the mo. He came off from injury to make the finals of the aussie open and I hope he does it for the Us too, but I cant really say because I have no idea how he is playing or feeling.
