  1. He came into office at a pretty rough time. He was only in office for about 8 months and 9/11 happened. Then things got progressively worse. I think he is a decent and honest man. I don't think he has that suave and smooth personality, like Clinton. G. Bush is too honest for that so sometimes he came across less than intelligent. He may not have been the best public orator, but he is alot better than any of the choices we face for next president. And, though people say Clinton was a good president, I personally find him to be a real scum bag liar. Not to be trusted. How gross, under the desk in the Oval Office.

  2. Looking at it now will be unfair because there is a huge biased opinion about his administration. His administration had a lot of bumps and low public support. For the most part I think his dealing on 9-11 will be viewed favorably however if they were to focus more on Katrina and other issues he may not be viewed in a positive light. To be honest this is not the time to discuss and weigh in on his administration. The country was divided allot within his administration and there were few policies that were able to be agreed upon. I can go all day on the negative and then the next day on all of the positives. Either way history will judge him in time. Same as any president for the most part. I will tell you this thou, he sticks to his guns very well, that is both a positive and a negative thou

  3. Considering all the stupid conspiracy theories that arose from people not interested in arguing the policies, I think he did well.

  4. Over all a C+. He kept me and my family safe, which a good thing. However he made it much harder for me and my family to made a living and that is a bad thing. He's is strong defense and a weak on the social and fiscal issues.

  5. The second best president in my lifetime (I am 35). Only Reagan was better.

  6. Terrible!  In no particular order....

    1) Attack on U.S. citizens, loss of human life in war, dangerous precedent set by declaring a preemptive war

    2) mishandling of 9/11  (Osama bin Laden?  Anyone?)

    3) Increased cost of living, oil prices out of control, food prices out of control, jobs going down

    4) enormous deficit, enormous foreign debt

    5) in an increasingly 'globalized' world, the U.S. is held in increasingly low esteem as a result of his administration's policies (it's not the old days, folks.  The U.S. can't afford to behave as though we aren't part of the rest of the world!!!)

    6) bungling of Katrina disaster....What would the U.S. do if an American city was leveled?  Apparently, not much!

    7) erosion of U.S. civil liberties and weakening of democratic (as in democracy not democrat) principles via strengthening of the executive branch)

    8) Allowing the Supreme Court to decide an election as opposed to the American people?  NOT COOL, NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME!!

    9) Treating the American people as if they were fools through systematic misinformation and deceit

    10) division of the country at a time when unity was needed; division of the U.S. from the rest of the world.

I don't understand how Bush's terms as president can be justified by saying that he kept us safe.  We were attacked while he was in office, ended up at war while he was in office.  It's not as though the U.S. had been enduring attacks under all these other presidents and then Bush got into office and, lo and behold, the attacks stopped!

Something that doesn't typically happen in the U.S. happened on his watch and, since it hasn't happened again, he's keeping us safe?  It's just not logical!
