  1. close the door like the guy said..they really aren't meant to be handled, it thier shell craacks..it $$$ and a trip to the vet.

  2. Your turtle is trying to tell you something. Roughly translated it means, "I don't need freedom. I want everything I need in my tank. And keep your cotton-picking hands off me."

  3. Being a turtle owner myself I would say just shut the door but then again if you do that she wont have a huge place to explore.Dogs & cats don't actually harm turtles, they just sniff at them and walk off.Females are more agressive then the males so it is natural for them to be biters(I myself have a female turtle). But I don't know why you're turtle is hissing at you, mine never does that to me.Maybe you are smothering it too much and she just wants to be left alone. They don't like to be handled too much, mine allows me to handle her for a couple of seconds then wants to be let go.I wouldn't put her on you're bed because they often urinate or p**p when they are bothered, stressed or when they really need to go to the toilet. Also you need to look out for her,it would be really bad if she has a nasty fall.Mine slowly learnt not to fall off beds and couches(she just looks down and knows that she will hurt herself)They also like exploring outdoors, they usually sunbathe if the sun is out.Hope the information I have given you will help you.

  4. turtles do not like being held.

some won't mind you interacting with them though, but i've yet you see one that likes being held.

Personally, i wouldn't want a turtle on my bed. Main reason being they urinate if you bother them.

  5. If your turtle is hissing at you then there is some problem.

  6. maybe shut your door?
