  1. a good way is too take regularsoft shoe ballet for a year just to get the feel for the style. remember pointe is just like soft shoe ballet but everything is done on your toes. then after that year try out a beginners class. good luck

  2. pointe takes time, lyrical wont help pointe. take some ballet classes, for a couple of years, and then ask your teacher if you could get started on pointe. talk to your teachers, they are there to help you. pointe takes a lot of ballet experience, and its harder than it looks.

  3. lyrical does nothing going towards pointe..you need to take a regular ballet class

  4. Lyrical will not do anything towards point. Point is ballet lyrical will get you no where to point my guess start taking RAD ballet see what level your in and go from there.

Lyrical will get you NO WHERE  to point.

  5. A good way to get started en pointe is to take ballet classes consistently until you are placed in pointe classes. If you take at least 3 ballet classes a week, you may be able to get en pointe in 2.5 years (one year as a beginner, one year as intermediate, half a year at advanced, and you were so great that they put you in pre pointe the remainder of the 3rd year.) Because you have dance experience, you may have the stamina and strength. But because ballet has a different technique and uses different muscles, you'll have to kinda re-train to go in the direction of pointe. So definitely get into some ballet classes and work your butt off so you can get there! :-D

    Good luck!
