How do you think people will react to my braces when I go to school?

do you think people will be shocked or be happy by the new me?please answer!

honestly I just came from a rural area and moved to a middle to high income area.

Few people had braces in the rural area.  To them it was a stigma-something like having a wart on your nose.  They couldn't see the end result but in the end, most people with braces were glad they had them.

When we moved to the city in the middle to high income neighborhood, most if not half the class were in braces, so no one really cared.

I doubt anyone will react at all, doesn't everyone wear braces these days? I refused braced because I was convinced I would be teased mercilessly, now 40 with crooked teeth.

Babe they may be shocked like "wow u have braces" But no one cares! Ur fixing ur teeth! Some ppl get boob jobs some get botox! Ok this is less dramatic but its not a big Fuss I'm 23 and waiting for mine! I'll look about 18 with them but I can't wait and when they are off!! They'll probly just joke about them for a few days, some ppl will say they're cool and stuff, others won't but ppl won't normally talk about them for more than a few days.

nothing wrong with braces,im having them my teeth are well out of shape,just act normal people dont normally notice but dont make it obvious by acting strangely

lots of people change over the summer and some people may be happy and others shocked. your friends will think there cool and others will say when did you get them and stuff. and then theres the older chavs..

well i just got my top brace today need my bottom one on on sept 15th i don't think people will be bothered but if they are i not bothered i'll just tell them at least i ave straight teeth and u got ugly bent teeth lol hope this helps

I think they will notice but by lunch time they will be noticing something else. You are so lucky to get them while your young, i refused to get them as a teenager I'm now 26 and my teeth are all over the place. I'm geting a loan to pay to get braces later this year!!  

Just think how fab you teeth will look when der of, and then u'l be happy no matter wot any1 else thinks.x.

Iv Had Braces for two Years Now. (i'm 14,Nearly 15)

At the Start every ones like omg let me look And You Really don't Want to Open Your Mouth Because Your Really Worried What people Think But At The End Of the day there great They really help, withen 3 months Mine were Straightening! It Happens So Fast!

People get use to them and Slowly Forget you have them!

Mine are coming off soon, im on my last procedure!

If anyone gets a choice to have braces its SOOO Worth it.

Thats Not Neccesary i Brush Them Twice a Day!

But personally I Think if u Brush Your teeth, Thats Fine!!

Chances are many other students also have braces or every student has known someone with braces so they will be completely used to it.

Just imagine, if you saw someone walking around with braces would you care :P

It's nothing special. Well... there was that girl who was almost willing to suck my c**k, but she and her giant b***s changed their mind after she saw me in braces... but that was all. If I were you, I'd mostly worry about the pain I'd be about to suffer.
